Training & Capacity Development
LEAD has 14 regional offices, each led by dedicated multi-lingual training staff who design and deliver high quality training and capacity building courses and activities. Activities include the training of future Fellows, design and delivery of new training programmes with partners, delivery of short courses and production of learning resources and training materials.
Our trainers are supported by experienced logistics staff as well as a network of expert resource persons who provide professional expertise on sustainable development issues and also the invaluable perspectives of practitioners.
LEAD’s approach to training is based on tested adult-learning methodology that is experiential, learner centered, participatory, highly dynamic and also enjoyable. We use a wide range of methodologies, including interactive panel discussions, place-based case studies, site visits, computer-aided simulations, peer-to-peer learning, role play and individual and team projects.
