Key Dimensions
- A focus on important climate change topics, including deforestation, adaptation, carbon offsetting and renewable energy, with further consideration of the cross-cutting issues of gender, development, justice and the post-2012 framework;
- Local and international leaders in the field(s) of climate change and sustainable development;
- Site visits around West Java to deepen understanding of the complexity of the climate challenge locally and globally;
- Skills modules to learn and practice key leadership skills including communication and multi-stakeholder dialogue and engagement;
- Group presentations that encourage participants to work together to synthesize the content, skills and experiential learning from the week, and better understand how climate change resonates in their own contexts and lives;
- Opportunities for participants to network with one another, to exhibit their LEAD projects, and to share their experiences in sustainable development;
- Key outputs and learnings to be communicated in a side event at the annual United Nations Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP 13) held the following week, also in Indonesia.
