This year's International Session will take place in Ottawa, Canada from October 16-22 and will focus on the Green Economy. Participants will embark on a learning journey that will link speakers, panels, workshops, case studies and site visits in examining the roles of leadership, learning and technology in creating greener economies and a sustainable world. Key speakers include Stephen Lewis, Chair of the Stephen Lewis Foundation which is dedicated to turning the tide of HIV/AIDS in Africa, and Sir Terence Matthews, founder and chairman of investment vehicle Wesley Clover.
One of the highlights of the week will be the first ever LEAD Green Economy Fair where a variety of key stakeholders will set up booths to demonstrate leading green economy initiatives. The fair will also include a series of workshops on aspects of the green economy and will provide will provide inspiration, practical information and a contact base which participants can use when they return home.
Other key features of the IS include site visits, working group presentations, round-table speed networking meetings, 'Take the LEAD' sessions (where participants can run a workshop of their choice) and social activities.
The IS will provide an excellent opportunity for Fellows and Associates to undertake action-oriented learning on key areas of green economy, leadership and technology.
