Associates from LEAD Indonesia Cohort 16 have just graduated after completing the fifth module of their training on the topic of 'The Green Economy: Exploring Paths for a Vibrant Future'. At this session they presented Associate Change Projects that encapsulate the impact that Associates hope to make on the world. A variety of projects relating to personal and professional development were presented, ranging from communicating the idea of the green economy to students through to enhancing public understanding of emission reduction projects.
One project was entitled "Coffee, Water and Love: Sustainable Agro-Forestry in Sunten Jaya, Lembang" and its aim was to improve the livelihood of the village whilst maintaining the surrounding environment by applying agro-forestry best practice. The project was supported by a number of academic experts and also LEAD Fellows.
At the graduation of Cohort 16, Darwina Widjajanti (National Program Director of LEAD Indonesia) reminded the new Fellows that it was now their task to apply the skills they had acquired in the LEAD training in order to promote a sustainable future. Congratulations Fellows of Cohort 16 of LEAD Indonesia and good luck!
