Leadership is needed to meet the urgent challenge of climate change. There is a growing consensus that key actions are required in order to avoid catastrophic change in the earth’s climate systems, and so in 2007 and 2008 LEAD will focus its international training programme around the response to climate change.
International Training Sessions (ITS) have been a core feature of LEAD Fellows Training for more than 15 years, and in 2007 LEAD International Training Session was held in Jakarta and Bandung, Indonesia from 26 November – 1 December 2007.
This cross-cultural, multi-sectoral training event brought together diverse groups of emerging leaders from across the globe, primarily from the developing world, to share knowledge and experiences and to hone the skills required to meet key sustainability challenges.
More than 150 Associates and staff from all LEAD Member Programmes participated at the ITS. To find out more about this dynamic group and the specifics of the training, please browse the online platform where participants began their learning journey.
