New leadership for LEAD International

Dr Simon Lyster, Chief Executive Officer of LEAD International, has stood down as Chief Executive with effect from 1st July 2011. The Board, in accepting Simon's decision expressed their deep gratitude and appreciation for Simon's eight years of service to LEAD. Under Simon's leadership, the numbers of LEAD Fellows increased to more than 2000. LEAD's mission is to inspire leadership for a more sustainable world. Simon crafted and implemented a successful strategy to harness the talents of LEAD's Fellows and network to make that mission reality for a range of partner organisations, including HSBC, DFID and Standard Chartered. The LEAD community wishes him the very best in his future endeavours.

At this time, the Board has appointed a new leadership team at LEAD International. The new leadership of LI will consist of a team of three directors: Mike Ellingham, Alex Hannant, and Gillian Martin Mehers.

Together with LEAD's new chairman, Roland Kupers, the three directors will work closely with LEAD Fellows, Member Programmes, staff, and partners in the process of transformation and renewal of LEAD's learning and network.

Signed,

Roland Kupers
