Read highlights of LEAD China 2005 activities
As well as the Fellows, Associates and Staff of all the LEAD programmes, our countrywide network is greatly expanded by the partnering organisations.
LEAD China has an extensive faculty who aid in provided training to Associates and Fellows. All Faculty members are experienced professionals working in environment and development and are held in high regard on both the national and international forums.
Through its Fellows, we are able to access the networks and resources of their past and present organisations.
LEAD China continues to develop working relationships with organisations, whose fields operation reflect the broad nature of LEAD’s own network: these include: the Energy Foundation, Journal of Natural Resource, Shanxx Women’s Foundation and various Government agencies.
LEAD China continues to work with World Resources Institute’s New Venture programme in China. Professor Qu Geping, Chairman of LEAD-China Board of Directors, opened New Ventures Investment Forum 2004.
LEAD China worked in partnership with Shell China to develop the renewable energy textbook for primary and middle school. Several training and demonstration sessions to promote renewable energy textbook have been attended by more than 200 teachers.
Training offered to others
In 2004, LEAD China organised eight training sessions for Chinese SME on corporate social responsibility, attracting around 600 business managers. LEAD China also organized three training sessions for NGOs, attended by 150 persons, including NGO members, businessmen, teachers, media professionals and university students and teachers.
LEAD China organised “CSR Roundtables”, attended by government and corporate officials, media, NGO and academic groups and LEAD Fellows. The roundtables were a result of collaboration with DFID UK office.
