Localising the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs): Opportunities for Local Leaders

LEAD International was invited to build upon previous work with UNDP Capacity 2015 by preparing materials and supporting the local delivery of a five-day workshop on ‘Localising the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs): Opportunities for Local Leaders’.

In addition to designing the training module and training trainers to deliver it, LEAD International was asked to produce a Facilitators’ Manual and Participants’ Manuals. These have been translated into Russian for local adaptation and implementation.

The workshop, which was conducted in Russian, was supported throughout by LEAD trainers providing coaching.

Training in "Localising the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs): Opportunities for Local Leaders" was ultimately delivered to 20 local leaders from Central and Eastern Europe and CIS, and UNDP now have plans to deliver this module in Russian across the CIS / CEE region using LEAD trained trainers.
