Capacity2015 is UNDP’s flagship capacity development programme. Its core theme is the development of national capacities for making development more effective. It pilots practical applications of capacity development through catalytic, small-scale initiatives that have high impact and are amenable to informing knowledge on the state-of-the-art in capacity development. It is strongly focused on facilitating cross-practice initiatives.

The Asia Regional Governance Programme (ARGP) is the region’s principal governance initiative. It is aimed at enhancing good governance practices in the region and codifying lessons learnt. Its scope extends across the seven service lines of the governance practice area and into other practice areas in so far as good governance is seen as UNDP’s core underlying principle for engagement with partner countries.
