ToT_Bangkok_2006_1This highly successful 6-day 'training-of trainers' workshop, organised in collaboration with the UNDP Capacity 2015 programme, was designed to build local capacity for delivery of the ‘Leadership Course for Young Leaders in Governance’ in South-east and East Asia.

LEAD, with an excellent reputation for delivering interactive, high-quality leadership training, developed the course curriculum around five key modules:

Incorporating UNDP modules on:

  • Anti-corruption and Leadership
  • Gender Issues
  • Indigenous Peoples Rights and Development

Outcomes

Facilitated by the LEAD training team, 9 new trainers from different countries including Thailand, the Philippines, Malaysia, Cambodia, Pakistan, Iran completed the 'training of trainers' workshop.

These new trainers then delivered training to 28 young leaders from south-east Asia who have completed all the above modules.

ToT_Bangkok_2006_2Young people are powerful agents for change. Leadership development programmes aimed at young people facilitate sustained capacity development and provide them with the means to do what they do better.
