The primary goal of the training was to use global and particularly African examples to illustrate and explore the complex linkages between people, climate change and development. The event also provided an opportunity for participants to learn in a cross-cultural and cross-sectoral environment, building a deep understanding of interdependency and the need for concerted and coordinated action by all sectors and stakeholders.
