Team of Local Trainers and Resource People

48 local trainers and resource people completed their training programme in between June and October 2006 focussing on marine and coastal sustainable livelihood issues:

1) Sustainable Coastal and Marine Livelihood

2) Sustainable Resources Management

3) Negotiations and Decision Making

4) Organisational Management

5) 12 core trainers (‘facilitator inti’) attended a module on experiential learning and training methods.

Collaborative Leadership

Participants gained knowledge on sustainable development, ecological carrying capacity, policies needed for sustainable fishery, and acquired skills to articulate and address their problems through collaborative leadership and partnership.

Trainers - representing various stakeholder groups - play a critical role in developing capacities needed to conserve coral reefs in the Buleleng district.
