LEAD Pakistan Action Lab

From 23rd to 25th July 2011, LEAD Pakistan ran a multi-dimensional and cross-sectoral Action Lab titled "Inspiring Leadership for Sustainable Development". The Lab aimed to create open spaces for people to learn, to adopt and explore issues of sustainability by harnessing knowledge and resources and to design and deliver high impact actions. This was achieved by provoking thought on solving complex global problems holistically and promoting a culture of increased commitment, creativity, experimentation and collaboration. The Lab also provided a perfect opportunity to leverage and build a community around leadership for three key areas: Climate Compatible Development, MDGs and Innovation. The Action Lab included panel discussions with subject experts and sessions on creating a policy think tank; donor marketing; strategic thinking exercises and the design of LEAD's strategy for supporting sustainable development. As a result of the Lab, a portfolio of prototype projects and action-research initiatives that build on the most promising innovations has been produced.
