As the IS neared its conclusion, participants saw presentations on the Green Economy from around the world including Brazil, Indonesia and Francophone Africa. The afternoon was spent preparing for working group presentations and graduation!

Thursday saw participants go out on site visits around Ottawa and in Montreal. The four case studies were: Taking action on urban renewal (Ottawa); Greening Montreal through social enterprise (Montreal); Engaging stakeholders for better river (Ottawa); and Creating sustainable neighbourhoods (Ottawa).

The second day in Ottawa saw participants engage in Skills Modules including Social Media and Leadership for Sustainable Development and Handwriting Analysis. There were Thematic Panel discussions on the four themes of the IS (Sustainable Business/Energy/Communities/Resources). Speakers included representatives from Shell, WWF and Stratos. The day finished with the cultural evening looking at the culture of the indigenous peoples of North America.
