A sustainable cities course developed by LEAD staff and Fellows has won the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development (UNCSD) public vote and will be showcased at the Rio+20 conference in June 2012. LEAD's proposal, entitled 'Putting People First: Building Sustainable Cities with Communities,' attracted 942 votes, beating its nearest rival by over 400 votes.
