It is so important to us to have a website that is interesting and attractive for Fellows and partners.
This is an exciting time for LEAD. Thanks to a partnership with Shell Foundation, we have the opportunity to increase dramatically the numbers of Fellows who go through the LEAD programme. The partnership is initially focused on Africa, and our goal is to have 500 mid-career African leaders going through the programme each year by 2014.
But increasing the numbers of LEAD Fellows is just part of the story. We also want an active LEAD Fellows network that continues to share information and work together for a more sustainable future long after the programme itself is over. Key to that is a good electronic platform that is easy to use, contains useful information and encourages Fellows to stay engaged with other Fellows. Re-vamping the website is just one step we are taking in that direction. Other steps will follow.
The world is not doing well in terms of sustainable development. But there are some positive signs, and LEAD Fellows are doing amazing things to help bring about change for the better.
In the coming weeks and months we will be posting blogs from Fellows and staff telling you about some of the wonderful work that is going on, so if you are a Fellow please join in. We want your contribution!
