Update: LEAD International Management Team

Message from Roland Kupers, Chair of the LEAD International Board of Trustees

2012 will see the completion of LEAD's transformation into a social enterprise that delivers inspirational leadership programmes for sustainable development, through a combination of virtual and face-to-face training. Excellent progress has been made so far and in order to support the transition process further, the Board of LEAD International has appointed Graham Ward as Acting Managing Director of the organisation. Graham will fulfil this post in addition to his existing role as Project Manager for the LEAD 2.0 process. Gillian Martin Mehers, Director of Learning, will continue to be responsible for LEAD's new learning platform and Mike Ellingham, Director of Finance and Operations, will remain in charge of existing projects and the financial health of the organisation. Together Graham, Mike and Gillian will form the management team of LEAD International and will drive forward LEAD's operational transformation.

Looking ahead to the completion of the LEAD 2.0 process, it is clear that the LEAD's new model will require a strong CEO and figurehead: the Board will therefore soon begin the search for a visionary social entrepreneur who can maximise the scale and impact of LEAD's work.

The Board is grateful for the commitment and creativity demonstrated by the staff of LEAD International during this period of change, and appreciates the ongoing support of the LEAD Fellows Network.
