The world has changed profoundly since our inception and as we approach our 20th anniversary, it is now time to reinvent LEAD. 2012 will see a major transformation that will allow us to successfully address the new challenges that face emerging leaders as they strive for a sustainable world, and also make LEAD itself sustainable.
The LEAD 2.0 transition process will allow us to increase the reach of our leadership programmes through a dynamic approach that blends online and face-to-face learning. Our aim is to scale-up LEAD's impact, reduce the environmental and financial cost of training programmes and continue our support for the changing learning needs of future leaders. Central to this transformation is a new operational model that will secure LEAD's future as a self-sustaining social enterprise.
LEAD was established in the wake of the 1992 Rio conference on sustainable development: it is therefore fitting that we will launch our new model at Rio+20 in June 2012, 20 years on from the original Earth Summit and our foundation. We hope that we can count on your support as we move forward with our transformation process: we welcome your ideas and feedback.
