
LEAD Pakistan's Cohort 16 training programme has focussed on the Green Economy. The aim of this programme is to initiate policy dialogue and knowledge sharing on the role of green economy in climate change.
So far Associates have undergone one orientation training session ('Transition to the Green Economy' ) and one distance learning session ('The Green Economy: towards sustainable development and poverty eradication.') Regional sessions in Bangladesh and Nepal are scheduled for April and August 2012.
Training for Cohort 17 is also underway and the theme for this group is 'Climate change and water: managing uncertainties,' focusing particularly on the governance and management of water resources. Associates have already completed their orientation session ('Climate change and water resources management: a fundamental nexus') and are currently undertaking their distance learning course ('Climate change adaptation: a tool kit for integrated water resource management.')
