Biography
Marcio Augusto RAMOS HALLA is an agronomist graduated at College of Jaboticabal at Paulista State University. During seven years he coordinated many projects located at the Ribeira River Valley Region, in the Atlantic Rainforest. As from 2004 he has carried out integrated sustainable development projects, working close to traditional riverside communities in the Amazon region, as a coordinator of the Health and Happiness Project.
He has participated in several courses on topics including the rational utilization of tropical forests, sustainable and organic agriculture, agroforestry systems,participatory metodologies, forest certification. He has also participated in several training programs in sustainable management of forest resources, one of which was held in Saarbrucken, Germany.
