Biography

Jigna M. TRIVEDI works in the regional development program in the Banaskantha Women's Rural Development Project at the Self-Employed Women's Association (SEWA). The program aims for the economic and social empowerment of women. The women in this program are active in crafts, salt farming, gum collection, watershed development, dairy cooperatives, eco-regeneration, and savings and credit. J.M. Trivedi coordinates the ongoing activities, and plans and implements new technologies and training. She is actively associated in programs pertaining to land development in difficult local conditions with saline soil and water and eco-regeneration. She has a master's degree in microbiology from Gujrat University and a medical laboratory technicians certificate from N.H.L. Municipal College, Ahemdabad.
