Saroj DASH

Biography

Saroj DASH is executive director of Siksha Sadhan, a resource center in search of an alternate mode of education that will lead to social change among the tribes of Orissa. His job involves planning, coordinating and organizing training workshops and seminars to create a demand for education in rural areas. He has also completed an Oriya book about joint forest management and published a quarterly 'Journal for Education Resource Centre' in order to promote the successful education models adopted by various agencies. He has also worked with Ahemadabad Study Action Group (ASAG) in the preparation of a communication package to promote mudhouse technology in modern India.

S. Dash has a master's degree in commerce from Utkal University, Bhubaneswar. He also has a law degree from Dhenkanal Law College, and a diploma in social welfare from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, with a specialization in policy research and development communication.
