Biography

Néstor is a young dynamic person, born in Cuernavaca, Morelos, Mexico, who is married and has one little son. He has been a Scout for nearly 20 years and was a Paramedic at the Red Cross back in Mexico.
He studied Electronic Systems Engineering at ITESM in Mexico, followed by a year and a half living in a Benedictine Monastery in Engelberg, Switzerland. Néstor went back to México to work for Sekurit Saint-Gobain (Automotive Glass) as International Project Leader, leading the transfer of technology and development from Europe to Mexico of the Volkswagen New Beatle; and leading the 1st Head-Up-Display in a windshield for General Motors. At the same, he did a year diploma in Theology at University La Salle in Mexico. He worked later as Regional Long Distance Manager in Telmex, before getting a scholarship to study in France an MBA in International Business at EM Grenoble, France.
After France, he got an offer from Philips as Global Strategic Buyer for the Business Group Display Components. Néstor has worked now in Philips for 9 years in different areas and businesses, have completed the black belt program, have studied Supply Chain Management and Sustainability in Stanford and worked in the USA, Germany and The Netherlands.
In his actual position, Néstor is responsible within sustainability for marketing, strategy, packaging and eco-design, being in packaging the program leader for the whole consumer lifestyle sector considering all functions and value chain stakeholders worldwide.
