Biography
Steve is founding director of onearth; a company that specialises in using attitudinal and behavioural research to help accelerate sustainable change.
His background is in psychology and mainstream consumer research; running national and international studies for large brands. Over time he realised that he wanted to focus his research on sustainable development. The premise was simple; to provide organisations with research‐based understandings to enable them to make better decisions about achieving more sustainable futures. He enjoys being a ‘hands on’ researcher and believes that the best results are achieved when our personal, business and clients values are closely aligned.
In 2008 Steve completed a large international research project, studying the relationship between energy policy and climate change. The project was conducted across six countries including Bhutan, Brazil, China Japan, Mexico and the USA. The study involved conducting qualitative depth interviews with experts such as; policy makers, company directors, academics, journalists and representatives from environmental NGOs.
He is a Visiting Fellow in Sustainable Development at the Centre for International Business at Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge. As well as lecturing, he will advise on course and partner on research projects.
