Biography

Larisa CUPCEA is project assistant in the Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs) Stockpiles Management and Destruction Project (www.moldovapops.md), a World Bank/Global Environmental Facility Project implemented by a Project Management Team (PMT) under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources.
She was working for two and a half years in the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, Environmental Policy Division. She was responsible for developing and promoting of environmental policy, economic instruments and financial mechanisms in the field of environmental protection, including coordination of the National Ecological Fund activity.
She was working with the secretariats of Convention on Environmental Impact Assessment in Transboundary Context, Convention on the Protection and Sustainable Use of the Danube and Stockholm Convention on Persistent Organic Pollutants.
She is a Fellow of 10th and 12the International Programme on the Management of Sustainability, Sustainability Challenge Foundation. She attended the Lead International Training in Project Proposals Development and the International Labour Organization course on Project management in World Bank-funded projects: control of project delivery (time, scope, procurement, budget and resources).
