Biography
Eros ARTUSO works as a consultant at the Home Office in Luxembourg (Ministry of the Interior) since November 2005. He is responsible for the development of an important project funded by the European Commission on the subject: “Water Framework Directive and Agriculture linkages at the EU level, Preparation of the Rural Development Programmes 2007/2013”. The purpose of the project is to analyse the legal and organisational linkages between both policies in order to elaborate future synergies while implementing, planning, financing and controlling the various requirements of the WFD and the CAP in the national context of Luxembourg.
He has previously worked as junior administrator at the European Court of Auditors, Luxembourg. He has participated as environmental expert in the performance audit on the environmental aspects of the development co-operation. This audit included the assessment of the European Commission’s strategy and management systems on the integration of the environment in the development co-operation as well as the assessment of the results of a wide range of environmental activities (i.e. prevention and reduction of waste, air and water pollution, combat climate change, land use planning and management, nature and biodiversity conservation, soil protection support, etc.)
Eros has a BS+MS Environmental Engineering from University of Padua and is attending a MSc in Sustainable Development from Imperial College of London. He has fluent spoken and written Italian (mother tongue), English, French, Spanish, Portuguese.
