Biography
Mirey ATALLAH-AUGE, is currently portfolio manager with UNDP/GEF for Land Degradation and International Water portfolios in the Arab States. She comes from a background of freelance consulting on nature conservation and sustainable development projects with national and international organizations in Lebanon and the Middle East. As such she has worked with private firms, NGOs and government which has allowed her to get a wide grasp of development stakeholders and their views. While she covered several areas of natural resource management, she has developed skills in project development, resource mobilization and reviews. She also has a solid experience in the field and has implemented several projects.
Her professional objective is to contribute to sustainable development by linking nature conservation to human progress.
Mirey has a mastre in Environmental Management and Strategies from the Institut National Agronomique Paris Grignon in France. She is a fellow of the Quebec Labrador Foundation/Atlantic Center for the Environmment Middle East Programme and Vice Chair of the IUCN Young Professionals Advisory Group.
