Catherine Clinton MAXEY

Biography

Catherine MAXEY is Business Public Affairs director at The Dow Chemical Company. She manages a team of 40 Public Affairs professionals who provide issues management, marketing communications, and employee communications to a $20 billion group of global businesses within Dow. She also represents Dow on the Reputation Committee of the American Chemistry Council, the chemical industry's trade association. She is an elected member of the board of Dow's political action committee.

In previous roles at Dow, she led Public Affairs and Communications for various departments. She has extensive experience in employee communications/change management, media relations, community relations, marketing communications, branding, advertising, opinion research, speechwriting, and issues communications.

Maxey is a past winner of the Silver Anvil Award and other professional awards. She has 16 years of experience in the public relations/communications field and is accredited in public relations. She holds a bachelor's degree in Journalism and a minor in Chemistry from Lehigh University.
