Biography

Jane Forshaw - Chief Executive

After completing her Environmental Health Degree with First Class Honours, Jane spent ten years with Birmingham City Council as an Environmental Health Officer and later as Head of the Sustainability Team. Whilst in this role, Jane also launched the Council's Environmental Forum Sub Committee and assisted in the production of the Environmental Policy Impact Assessment and the State of the Environment Report. She also became the personal advisor to the Chief Executive on sustainability issues. Jane was also on the Government's working group which published the National Sustainability Indicators Report.

Jane holds three diplomas in Waste Management, Health and Safety and Management Development, and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health and The Institute of Waste Management.

In October 2000, Jane joined Urban Mines as the project director for the Sustainable Growth Park, and was promoted to Chief Executive in April 2001. In April 2005, Jane was appointed Chief Executive of CL:AIRE, a public-private partnership investigating and promoting cost effective methods for the remediation of contaminated land and Brownfield sites.
