Biography

Larissa Barbossa da Costa graduated in social sciences from the University of São Paulo (USP) and in social communications from ESPM-SP. She is the Coordinator of WWF Brazil's Environmental Education Programme, where she is working to develop EE projects for various parts of the country. She is involved in building the capacity of environmental educators, training teachers and community leaders in environmental education, participatory planning methodologies, the development of sustainable communities, developing and implementing Agenda 21 locally and the formation of social-environmental networks. She is also active in the area of evaluation and the production of educational materials. Larissa is a member of the national executive of REBEA, the Brazilian Environmental Education Network.

Until September 2002, she was the Director of the Instituto Ecoar for Citizenship, an environmental NGO which has its headquarters on São Paulo, and she continues to serve as a member of its Board.
