Biography
Daniele CESANO is currently (2007/2008) at the Harvard Kennedy School of Governance, Boston, to work at a biofuel project. The project consists in the development of the operational framework to make small-scale biofule production viable.
He is also founder and managing partner of CO2nnect, an international project development consultancy specialized in the carbon market, renewable energy and agricultural projects.
He is Capacity Building Coordinator with the Brazilian section of SouthSouthNorth, an NGO that builds capacity on CDM and voluntary carbon market project as well as adaptation projects to climate change.
Previous to these positions, Daniele worked as carbon market and renewbale energy specialist in Italy and advised the start up operation of a renewable energy business information provider.
In the past, Daniele worked with the New York office of ARUP on sustainable architecture and Corporate Social Responsibility, with the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission on radioactive waste management at Columbia University in New York, and with the Swedish International Development Authority on groundwater contamination in Nicaragua.
Daniele holds a BS in Environmental Engineering at Politecnico di Torino, Turin, Italy, and a MSc and a PhD in Earth and Water Resources at the Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, Sweden. Daniele has tought at Columbia University, New York and University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia. Daniele is also fellow to the Kinship Conservation Institute, Political Economy Research Centre at Montana State University.
