This declaration has been written by 150 leaders who are part of the LEAD network.
We are a diverse group from business, academics, NGOs, government and the media from across the globe. We met over six days in Bandung, Indonesia from 26 November to 1 December 2007.
This declaration is designed to address the leadership-gap in tackling global climate change.

Following two intensive days of input through skills building sessions around Leadership, Communication, and Stakeholder Engagement, and discussion with expert panels on the four themes of the ITS (Climate Change Adaptation; Avoiding Deforestation; Renewable Energy; Towards a Low Carbon Economy), the LEAD group are now going out into the real world.
Site visits and meetings with important local players that regularly face climate change challenges in Indonesia brings to life the reality of the issues we have been discussing. This gives participants an opportunity to gather first-hand information and experience of the problems and opportunities associated with a world affected by climate change.
Tell me and I will forget. Show me and I will remember. Involve me and I will understand. (Confucius)
