Biography
Karen Eden, is Senior Knowledge Development Manager within the EMEA Industry organisation at Oracle Corporation. Responsible for developing and executing strategies for learning and sharing Oracle's Industry intellectual capital through our PAN EMEA Sales organisation. Karen has been a core member of the Oracle EMEA Knowledge Management community since its launch in 2001, she is recognised as key to improving Oracle's collaboration strategies and product development.
Oracle, the world's largest enterprise software company, has provided the software and services that let organizations get the most up-to-date and accurate information from their business systems.
Prior to her carrear change to IT, she took a stepping stone for three years to the Retail industry where she focused largely on utilising low resources to deliver imaginative designs and strategies to improve turnover and margins. Karen spent the previous 15 years in the hospitality industry where she ended her journey as Hotel Manager of a diverse Hotel, Country Club and Leisure park on the beautiful White Cliffes of Dover in Kent UK. Responsible for £1.3m budget and 40 employees she successfully improved staff retention, marketing and profits.
Karen completed with credits the BTec diploma in Hotel, Catering and Institutional Operations at City College, Norwich in Norfolk, UK.
