Better leadership is critical to a better future for Africa, and the LEAD Africa Fellowship is all about building a network of African leaders equipped with the skills to create a better future.

LEAD Africa is building on valuable and significant experience. More than 500 leaders have already been through LEAD training programmes in Africa, and many more have been through LEAD’s short courses.

Using an initial investment of up to $12 million from the Shell Foundation, the founding partners are seeking to bring in other partners and create and endowment fund of $50 million. The objective is to make the programme self-sustaining and able to spend $2 million per year in perpetuity.
