Mr. Buzdar holds Masters degree in Botany from the University of Balochistan and another Masters degree in Human Settlements Development with a specialization in rural and regional development planning from Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Thailand. Currently, Mr. Buzdar is leading IMPACT Consulting Services and working as a consultant with ADB, JICA and other international organizations in the social development sector. Prior to this, he worked with OXFAM GB as a Program Manager for Sustainable Livelihoods and Disaster Risk Reduction Section. He also worked with the European Commission's Program Coordination Office for Rural Social Development Program (RSDP) as the Deputy Program Coordinator in Islamabad. His major responsibility included fund management and capacity building of the national NGOs of Pakistan involved in the socioeconomic development of the rural and semi urban communities in the health and education sectors. Mr. Buzdar is interested in social development, sustainable livelihoods, disaster risk reduction, organizational development, monitoring and evaluation, information systems development and issues related to sustainable development and environment. He has organized a number of workshops and participated in training regarding rural appraisal, monitoring and evaluation, and institutional development.
