Titilayo Adebola TADE
Titilayo TADE, is a Medical Social Worker at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, (LUTH), Idi–araba , Lagos, Nigeria. Her responsibilities include counseling, rehabilitation, social assessment of patients, social administration, placement of abandoned children, sourcing funds for indigent patients and lecturing in various schools within the Teaching Hospital. Titi lectures at the following schools within LUTH

While working with LUTH she also works as a consultant on various projects for Non Governmental Organizations as a trainer/facilitator and volunteers time as an HIV/AIDS hotline counsellor.

Titilope Omowunmi OWOLABI is currently the Deputy Director/Head of Laboratory of Central Drug & Vaccine Control Laboratory of the National Agency for Food & Drug Administration (NAFDAC) & was the Deputy Director I/C Registration & Regulatory Affairs NAFDAC(2003-2005). She had previously been involved in the public-sector production of essential drugs in Nigeria as the Assistant Director in charge of the Quality Assurance Laboratory of the Federal Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Laboratory, Federal Ministry of Health, Lagos,Nigeria.She has participated in a number of Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) projects. She is interested in environmental development that will enable individuals and communities to be assured of productivity, social well-being and enhanced standard of living.

Her Master's degree in Pharmaceutical Analysis is from the Strathclyde University in Scotland and her Bachelor of Pharmacy is from the University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University) in Nigeria. Tiwadayo Toluleke BRAIMOH
Mr. Tiwadayo Toluleke BRAIMOH is a Production Manager with Swiss-Pharma Nigeria Ltd, Lagos, one of the major drug manufacturing company in Nigeria. He had been with the company since 2004 and rose from his initial position of Sales Representative to Senior Medical/Sales Representative before his promotion to his present grade. He was adjudged the overall/best medical/sale representative in 2005, and 2006 and graded best Product Champion for Antimalarials and Hepathology and Nephrology in 2006.

Mr. BRAIMOH graduated B.Pharmacy from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria and is currently on MBA degree programme with the University of Lagos, Lagos, Nigeria. He is a member of the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria.

Tiyok PRASETYOADI
PRASETYOADI (Tiyok) is a practicing architect and urban designer, responsible for a private firm of Planning & Development Workshop (PDW) in Jakarta. He is the President Director of the firm. The firm is responsible for several urban design guidelines, master plan, public and landmark projects in Indonesia. He has worked on several public improvement project in Jakarta, namely on pedestrian project, a major upgrading pedestrian project from the government of Jakarta. Prior to working in Jakarta, he spent four years practicing in Sydney, Australia.

Prasetyoadi is a certified architect and planner, he is corporate member of Planning Institute Australia, Indonesia Architects Institute and Singapore Institute of Architects. He is also core founder of Green Building Council of Indonesia. He is trained as an architect, graduated from Institute of Technology, Bandung in 1995. In 1998, he graduated from Master of Urban Development and Design program, The University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia.

Todd is currently working as a member of the Bank’s centralized Head Office credit team with key duties that include risk assessment & adjudication of commercial credit applications, training of credit personnel, branch visits & hosting visitors on the Bank’s commercial credit parallel training program. He is working with the Bank’s Senior Manager, Corporate Sustainability to develop a commercial lending program focused on renewable energy technology to support HSBC Group’s Global Carbon Finance Strategy. I am very enthusiastic to quickly learn more about this subject in order to develop the above-described program for the Bank & to ultimately become a local sustainability champion within the Bank in the future. I have been very fortunate to travel the world extensively over the past 15 years & believe this experience provides me with valuable context & appreciation about the fragile state of the global environment & the importance of the creation & implementation of sustainable development practices.

He has a BA Commerce – International Business from the University of Victoria, and participated in an exchange program for international business students at the Faculty of Commerce & Accountancy, Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok, Thailand. Tolulope Adegbite
My passion has always been the environment, which lead me to read biochemistry in the federal university of Technology, Akure. The course entailed the life sciences of human, food and the environment, toxicology and its effects on the environment and humans and plant biochemistry. I graduated with second class division and moved on to do my compulsory one year humanitarian work serving the nation in the east of Nigeria, a place called Owerrinta, Abia State. I was involved in volunteer work assisting in encouraging sustainable development in the local communities. I participated in focus groups involved in the adoption of the best practice in tackling environmental matters in the area. To further my education I worked in the customer care division of a telecommunication for three years and then proceeded to the University of Edinburgh in Scotland were I acquired an M.sc in Environmental Protection and Management.

I was involved in a project with my school mates where we were given a task of determining the water quality of the river Imlil, in Marrakesh, Morocco. At the moment, I work as an Environmental officer for an oil marketing/sales company as I believe environmental ethics and laws should be complied by organizations that are prone to affect the environment.I am committed to my career as an environmentalist and my future goal is to work with an international organization that is committed to tackling environmental issues.

Tolulope Ifeoluwa ABARI
Tolulope Ifeoluwa ABARI is the Human Resources Manager for Capitaltrust Investments & Assets Management Limited, Lagos. She started her career with A.P. Moller Maersk Group, Lagos, as a Project Manager and underwent international management training with Maersk International Management School in Denmark between 2004 and 2006. She joined the MTN Nigeria Limited, a telecommunication giant in Nigeria, in 2007 as Internal Rec. Consultant , from where he migrated to his present Organization.

Miss ABARI graduated B.A. English with bias in Semantics and Sociolinguistics from the Lagos State University, Ojoo-Lagos, and had a Postgraduate Diploma specializing in international management education and organizational strategy from Maersk International Management School in Denmark, Sweden. Miss Abari participated in the British Council Interaction Leadership Programme held in Lagos, Nigeria. She possesses a rare sense of initiative and vision that enabled her to design and implement competency-driven performance management model at MTN. Tomas RUZICKA
Tomas RUZICKA is a program director of the Czech Environmental Partnership Foundation. He evaluates the environmental projects and provides financial and technical support to NGOs in the Czech Republic, he is also responsible for international projects. He has been active in a number of NGOs, and was a lecturer on landscape and biodiversity conservation at Charles University. Prior to the completion of his college degree, he created the organization Green Telephone, an environmental hotline that provides responses to citizen inquiries regarding environmental problems. Recently he is head of the Program Team at the Environmental Partnership in the Czech Republic responsible for coordinating all foudation's programs.

Tomas set up the Czech UNEP National Committee in 1999 and is a member of its governing board. He closely cooperates with WWF Danube-Carpathian Program in the Carpathian Ecoregion Initiative. He is a trainer of Natural Heritage Interpretation. In 2005, he was the main organiser of a national conference on sustainable development.

In 1992 and 1993, he studied natural resources and organizational management at the University of Michigan. He completed the environmental science program at Charles University in Prague in 1991.

In 2008 he received a Fulbright Fellowship and studied environmental interpretation and stewardship at the University of Vermont and Quebec-Labrador Foundation.

Tomás Antonio MOREIRA
Tomás MOREIRA, urban architect, is the Executive Coordinator of Brazilian City on the Move Program at Institut pour la Ville en Mouvement a France (2004/05), and the Manager of Managing Plans at Polis Institute - Studies, Formation and Assessorship in Publics Politcs Institute(2003/05). Also, he teaches Urban Plan and City History at Santa Cecilia University (2001/05).

He worked as Executive Secretary of the National Housing Program at Via Publica Institute (2003/04) and the Housing Project at the Citizenship Institute, a national NGO (1999/2000). He worked too for private companies such as Fronteira Norte and CNEC - National trust of Consulting Engineers, public companies including SEHAB - Secretariat of Habitation and Urban Developmentand and EMURB - Municipal company of Urbanization, consulting companies including FUNDUSP - Foundation of Research of the University of São Paulo, and Dunkerque Urbain Agglomeration and Université Catholique de Louvain-la-Neuve.

He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Urban Studies at Institut National de Recherche Scientifique a Université du Québec a Montréal, in Canada. He received a Master's Degree in Habitat and Development from Université Catholique de Louvain-la-Neuve, in Belgium. He also specialized in Rural and Urban Habitat for The Third World at Université Catholique de Louvain-la-Neuve and in Development, Planning and Building at Université La Cambre in Belgium. Also, he has a post-graduate degree in Urban and Regional Planning from Faculdade de Arquitetura e Urbanismo da Universidade de São Paulo, in Brazil.

Actually, he is investigating governance and urban partnerships related to social stakeholders. In past research, he has looked at the planning of new cities, public housing policies, community-based management of low-income housing programs, and community-based management in Europe and Latin America. His research has been published and presented in national and international conferences and courses.

Tomás CAMARENA LUHRS
Tomas CAMARENA Luhrs is the director of the Chinchorro Bank Biosphere Reserve, a marine natural-protected area of 144,360 hectares in Quintana Roo, Mexico. The reserve has the highest coral-reef biodiversity in the country, and has been selected by the World Wildlife Fund, The Nature Conservancy and The World Bank as a strategic conservation point along the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef System, which is the second-largest coral reef system in the world. He recently coordinated the creation of a management plan to address threats posed by illegal fisheries and, in the future, tourism.

Prior experience with coral reef protection includes several years as director of the National Marine Park Costa Occidental de Isla Mujeres, Punta Canc�n y Punta Nizuc, a position he started in 1996. Under difficult economic and political conditions, he completed a management plan that included a self-financing system to conserve, manage and operate this marine area highly impacted by tourism. He had previously conducted academic research fisheries, population dynamics and echo-integration towards the sustainable use of fish resources. T. Camarena studied biology at the Universidad Autonoma Metropolitana in Mexico City, and later studied in France and Western Africa, achieving a 'Doctorat de Troisi�me Cycle'. He enjoys diving, sailing and flying ultra-light planes.

Tomoaki KOGA has been with the Environment Survey Section of Kyushu Electric Power Company, Inc. since August 1998. From 1996 to 1998, he was on loan to the National Institute of Science and Technology Policy, under the Science and Technology Agency (STA). At that time, he engaged in the sixth technology forecast survey, a survey carried out by STA every five years. His master's degree in engineering (metallic and material technology) is from Waseda University, Tokyo.

Tomuonga CHUMA
Tomuonga CHUMA is the Managing Director of Mapopoma Tours & Cruises, one of the leading tour operators based in Victoria Falls.

Tom has had extensive experience working in various industries, and has spent the last twenty years in the tourism industry. After graduating from the University of Zimbabwe in 1987 with a Bachelor of Accountancy (Honors) he worked as an Accountant in the aviation, manufacturing and tourism sectors. In 2003 he obtained a Masters in Administration from the National University of Science and Technology.He has served as President of The Zimbabwe Council for Tourism, the apex Tourism Industry Association, and by virtue of that position served on the Regional Tourism Board of Southern Africa (RETOSA). In 2006 he was recognized by the industry for his contribution to the development of tourism in the country. He sits on the boards of the Zimbabwe Tourism Authority, where he chairs the Marketing & Communications Committee and Environment Africa, one of the leading environment lobby group in Southern Africa. He has represented tourism business interests in various fora, notably the Victoria Falls Combination Master Plan, that has seen him being part of business delegations to Canada, Hong Kong, Bangkok and Reunion. Tom is a Rotarian and has served in various positions in his home club, including serving as President and in the District, as Assistant District Governor. Now Managing Director and majority shareholder of one of the leading Tour Operators in Victoria Falls, Tom has has a wealth of experience managing and growing several businesses in the area, among them Zambezi Wilderness Safaris, Baobab Safaris and Monde Cultural Tours. The latter two were incorporated into Mapopoma Tours and Cruises, the current company he leads.

Tom was the group finance manager for Spencer Creek, a company that operates an upmarket hotel, safari operations, crocodile farm and several retail outlets. In the last two years with the company, he also managed the safari operations. Tom has also held the position of accountant at Field Management Services, Harare.

His interests and work experience in the past few years have expanded from finance and accounting to business management, environment and development. He is particularly interested in building capacity for local communities to deal with environmental and developmental issues in transfrontier zones.

He has mentored several young people who have gone on to be successes as entrepreneurs. Tom will be sharing his incisive business skills and strategic thinking in developing and managing successful enterprises that are socially and environmentally responsible. He will bring his passion for poverty alleviation through economic development and empowerment of local communities, a key 21st century challenge.

He is a member of the board of Directors Nigeria Environmental Society(A Primier Environmental NGO in Nigeria).

He has been involed in Oil industries operations and in various departments and capacities, with Gulf Oil Company (Nig.) Ltd later Chevron Nigeria Ltd, now Chevrontexao.

Tosan graduated as a pharmacology and physiology, with special interest in Environmental Toxicology, Two Master degree (MSc. in SME and technology Management & MBA Technology Policy and Environment). Toshiro YANAI
Toshiro YANAI is director of KEIDANEWN Nature Conservation Fund (KNCF). He is responsible for developing and assessing NGO projects in nature conservation, coordinating inspection missions and supporting the editing of KNCF's bulletin. Before joining KNCF in June 2000, he was controller of the Eslon Division of Sekisui America Corporation. After closing on the sale of this division, he returned to Japan to represent Sekisui Chemical Co., Ltd., on loan at KNCF.

In addition to experience in the accounting and credit field during his long career at Sekisui, he gained foreign business experience during five years of residence in the United States. He is now interested in learning more about nature conservation and building a network of key persons from NGOs in this field. His other interests include the future of biotechnology and listening to jazz. His degree in business administration is from Kobe University.

Trevor REES
Trevor REES (BSc) is the Head of Development at LEAD International. He has responsibility for the development and coordination of international projects delivered by and through the LEAD Network. The vast majority of projects reflect the core skills of LEAD International in training and capacity development.

Trevor has a background in training that is complimented by considerable project management expertise and several years’ private sector experience working in Azerbaijan and Georgia. Currently Trevor is coordinating the development and delivery of a wide range of projects for LEAD International including an initiative to involve communities located along the route of an oil pipeline in renewable energy projects and delivery of training for the Ministry of Environment for Moldova.

Prior to joining LEAD Trevor coordinated stakeholder participation in the Bonn International Renewable Energy Conference for the German Government and worked to enable the effective participation of NGOs in Eastern Europe in the UN Environment for Europe Conference.

Trevor worked for 4 years as the General Manager for a major contractor in Azerbaijan, and was involved in all aspects of business development, tendering and contract management. Previously Trevor was part of the Training Team at the Peak District National Park (UK) Training Centre involved in the delivery of courses to environmental professionals on a range of skills.

Trevor has a BSc in Environmental Management and has worked in a number of US National Parks including the US Virgin Islands and Chaco Canyon.

Tri Dewi VIRGIYANTI
Tri Dewi VIRGIYANTI works at the Directorate of Environment, Ministry of National Development Planning/National Development Planning Agency (BAPPENAS), Republic of Indonesia. She is responsible for planning, monitoring and evaluating environmental programs and policy in Indonesia and collaborating them with other development issues.

Virgi is responsible for supporting the Directorate in preparing and developing national environmental management and climate change strategy and plan. Moreover she also responsible in monitoring, evaluating and reporting the results of this strategy and plan implementation.

Virgi substantially involves in developing Indonesia Mitigation and Adaptation Action Plans, and monitor and evaluate its implementation. Furthermore, She also involved in many environmental management programs, such as developing strategic environmental assessment system and guidance for national development plans, developing indonesia climate change trust fund (ICCTF), emission reduction investments, debt for nature swaps, millenium development goals: Indonesia roadmap, ozone layer protections, and many other issues in collaboration with many national as well as international development partners.

In 2001 and 2003 she was appointed as the Project Manager for Community and Local Government Support Project which was funded by Government of Indonesia and ADB. The project was about developing a local system for empowering local community and local government in carrying out basic infrastructure development with a participatory approach.

Before joining Bappenas in 1997, she was an environmental engineer in one of local consultancies in Bandung, West Java, Indonesia. She also attended an internship program in the Stockholm Environment Institue (SEI) in Stockholm, Sweden to do research into the impacts of the economic crisis on energy consumption in Indonesia.

Virgi's interests and work experience in the past few years have been mostly concerned with environmental engineering, environmental management issues and climate change. She is particularly interested in issues of water, environmental sanitation, waste management, energy and environment, economic instruments for environmental management, climate change mitigation and adaptation, and economics.

Virgi is an environmental engineer with an environmental management and development masters degree from the Australian National University, Canberra.

Tri Mumpuni WIYATNO
Puni is currently working in her own NGO called People Centered Business and Economic Institute (IBEKA) based in Bandung. Mumpuni and her team successfully implemented numerous electrification projects, which resulted in more than 50 villages in remote parts of Indonesia having access to electrical power.

In recognition of her efforts in improving livelihoods of rural communities, the World Wildlife Fund for Nature (WWF) named Puni a “WWF Climate Hero” in 2005.

Puni is also involved in the government policy making for electricity sector, and Vice Chairman for Electricity Tariff Watch in Indonesia.

She is also a Director for Small and Medium Entrepreneurship and People Empowerment in Electricity Sector of Indonesian Electrical Power Society. She is engaged in many programs related to rural electrification for economic rural development. She implemented Pro-Poor Infrastructure by providing water supply and electricity using renewable energy in remote areas of Indonesia.

In

She shares her expertise in the entire ASEAN region by giving capacity building through training on energy provision programs. She initiated a forum on energy efficiency and conservation in Indonesia and how to work with media on an accurate coverage of energy issues. Her NGO has been in cooperation with JICA, TEPCO, TEPSCO and UN ESCAP on various aspects of energy issues with focus on electrification. Recently IBEKA accomplished survey and research on biomass for rural electrification with JBIC in South Sumatera.

Puni plays big role in social preparation before the physical project started, such as institutional formulation, tariff setting, training for Operation and Maintenance, etc.

Apart from electricity business, she owns her own butterfly garden in the mountain area and became first elected women representing her people in Village Parliament where she spend most of her weekend working with the community for welfare improvement.

In October 2007, GlobeAsia magazine stated her as 1 from 99 Most Powerful Women in Asia, related to her effort in promoting community-based hydro electrification.

Tri Sudiati BAMBANG
Ms. Bambang received a master's degree in statistics from the University of New South Wales in Australia. She received her bachelor's degree, also in statistics, from Akademi Statistik in Jakarta. She was employed in the Environmental Statistics Subdivision of the Central Board of Statistics, where she responsibled for compilation of natural resource and environmental statistics. She involved in the Social Economic National Survey, one of the most important surveys for evaluating welfare conditions of Indonesian people. She also involved in the compilation of Women's Social Indicators and in the Mother-Child Survival Analysis. In the field of environment and development, Ms. Bambang is interested in environmental protection, gender and spirituality.

Trigunadi LUKITO
Trigunadi B.S. LUKITO is currently holding the position of Head of QA-CMPC, where his main task is to make sure that all contractors working for the company qualify company's requirement in QHES Risk Management issues. Previously a Senior Drilling Engineer, in total, Trigunadi has been working in the Petroleum/Oil & Gas industry for 11 years. His current employment is with the Unocal Indonesia Company (UICo), an international oil company based in Balikpapan, where he has been for the last 4 years. Prior to living in Balikpapan, He had also worked as a Drilling Engineer for Unocal Geothermal Indonesia (UGI) for 2 years working in projects over at Gn. Salak, Bogor & Sarulla, North Sumatera. Apart from working as Drilling Engineer, he had also held the positions of Field Supervisor and Special Project Engineer.

He was attending Universitas Parahyangan in Bandung, Indonesia, in 1995, when he received a scholarship from Pertamina-BPPKA (Indonesian national oil-company) to study abroad. In December 1988, he graduated from the Colorado School of Mine in Golden, CO. USA, with a BSc degree in Civil Engineering.
Trine Petersen
Trine is the Network and Communications Manager for LEAD International, and is responsible for managing the Fellows’ network and co-ordinate joint activities and projects to increase engagement and raise the profile of the organisation.

Prior to LEAD, Trine was working through VSO as a capacity builder for a network of civil society organisations in Nigeria. In this role she was involved in organisational development and capacity building in leadership, information technology, communications, project cycle management, rights based advocacy and resource mobilisation.

Trine has also worked at the UK based charity Gemin-i, where she set up and ran an award winning Rafi.ki online community for schools involving thousands of schools around the world in over 100 countries. Apart from this community she also managed a number of interactive web based projects involving a wide variety of partners including government, media, international NGO’s and faith based organisations. She has also worked in capacity building roles in Brazil and Tanzania.

She is Danish but grew up overseas and has lived in a number of countries in Africa as well as Portugal and is a fluent Portuguese speaker. She came to the UK to study and has a BA in African Studies and Geography and an MA in Gender and Development with distinction.

Trinitas Chimwemwe Senganimalunje
Trinitas Chimwemwe Senganimalunje is the Principal of Malawi College of forestry and
Wildlife which is mandated to train Forestry and Wildlife Management officers at
technician level. In addition, she is a trainer specializing in Community Based Natural
Resource management (CBNRM), Extension and Facilitation skills. Trinitas is an avid
promoter of Participatory Forest Management (PFM) and was part of the team which developed PFM
Standards and Guidelines, a framework for promoting and facilitating PFM in Malawi, as well as introduction of
the same to frontline staff through a learning‐by‐doing process.
Regionally, Trinitas is a member of the Regional CBNRM forum comprising members from Malawi, Namibia,
Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Botswana, and South Africa through the Regional CBNRM training group for
which she is the contact person for Malawi.
She graduated from the University of Malawi, Bunda College with a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture in 1992.
She has a Master’s degree in Rural Resource Management from University of Wales, Bangor (UK). In addition
she has several certificates in different aspects of community based natural resources management.

Trupti Jain
After Trupti Jain’s graduated (Bachelor in Environmental Engineering) in 1992, she had opted for working in developmental sector. Strengthening women’s participation in education, off farm & on farm livelihood and most importantly strengthening governance of elected representatives of local bodies are primarily interested area during her professional carrier.

In her professional carrier of last 15 years, she had put her efforts into various strata of developmental projects in Gujarat and Rajasthan. She has worked with government departments (Education Department and Women & Child Development Department of GoG for more than 6 years), Non Government Organizations (for 6 years) and donor agency (for 3 years).

Her last responsibility was State Programme Director of Mahila Samakhaya. This is the programme of Ministry of Human Resource Development of Government of India with the aim of “Education for Women’s Equality’. Mahila Samakhaya works in nine states including Gujarat, where it is attaining more than 44000 women from 1906 villages in 38 talukas of 7 districts. She had to report to the state level governing body consisted of State Policymakers, National Opinion Makers and subject experts.

She got selected for the commonwealth scholarship in completing distant learning in M.A. in Sustainable Development from Staffordshire University, the U.K. She had been selected for the LEAD (Leadership in Environment and Development) fellow for the year 2007 and completed graduation after successfully completing the three national level training programmes and one international level training session.

Her endeavor in this direction got her selected by US Department of State for the International Visitor Programme on ‘Accountability in Governance and Business’ in September, 2006.

She was a member of executive committee of Gujarat Council of Education, Research and Training, Surva Shiksha Abhiyan and Gender Resource Center. She was also a member of Executive Committee of Working Group on Women’s Issues, a network of 60 NGOs, ‘GROUP’, an NGO working in Ahmedabad district, State Alumnae of USIS as an individual.

She has secured opportunity in participating a number of capacity building programmes in developmental sector. Training on Social Science Research by Institute of Development Research, Boston and PRIA, New Delhi, Training on Participatory Rural appraisal, Gender and Micro-planning by PRIA, New Delhi, Training on management of Common Property Resources by Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad were the major one.

She has published 12 research papers, out of which 9 were state level papers, 3 national level papers and 2 international levels. She has developed more than 30 educational materials in form of training manuals, audio-visual kits, booklets, posters and leaflets. She had also edited bimonthly magazine, Parisar, Vichar, Quarterly Samakhya no Suraj and Samakhya news in Gujarati as well as in English.

At present, working as an Executive Director of City Mangers’ Association Gujarat (CMAG) since February 1, 2008. CMAG was established in September 1997 with support from International City/ County Management Association, Washington (ICMA), and USAID. Today, CMAG is recognized as a unique and pioneering institution in Asia. CMAG’s institutional membership includes the state’s seven Municipal Corporations, six Urban Development Authorities, 159 Municipalities, Institutions and NGOs.

Tsuyoshi YAMAGUCHI
Tsuyoshi YAMAGUCHI has worked for the municipal government of Fujisawa for well over a decade. He specializes in economic revitalization, promoting the city's shopping districts by developing new business initiatives and coordinating their implementation with local merchants. He stays in close contact with shop owners to monitor the new initiatives' effectiveness.

After leaving university, Tsuyoshi first worked for the city's national registration department, then at the city councillors' administrative office, which oversees the operation of the 40-member council. Here he prepared press materials for assembly meetings and researched the legislative and development plans of other cities in Japan.

He has recently used this research to create plans that focus on the problem of keeping local business vital in an ageing society.

Tsuyoshi has a degree in econometrics from Nihon University.
Tuntufye Mboma

Turid Helene TRONBOEL
Turid H. TRONBOEL is now employed at a privat consulting office with focus on intellectual property rights and innovation, with special focus on patent rights, helping clients with patent strategies and write and submit patent applications.

She was for one and a half year employed at the Ministry og Trade and Industry as an adviser. She worked with issues related to innovation in general and in perticular SME and training and information strategies related to these groups. She also worked on industrial reseach strategies for Norway in the field of energy and environment as well as more general governmental administration.

She was for five years employed at the Norwegian Patent Office. The organisation deals with industrial property rights, patents, designs and trademarks. She was the last years head of a section in the patent departement, that job included beein a part of the management team of the department, management reseponsibilities for 18 people, project leader, training and lecturing.

Her environmental interests include renewable energy production, energy production and waste management. She has a MSc in mechanical engineering from NTH/NTNU (the University of Trondheim). She did part of her studies at Cranfield University in the UK.

Tzinnia CARRANZA-LOPEZ
Tzinnia Carranza Lopez studied Biology at the Universidad Autonoma Metropolitana Xochimilco and carried out an interdisciplinary M.Sc. program in Environment and Development at the Instituto Politecnico Nacional. First, she worked in Nicaragua developing productive projects with rural communities. Later, she worked at the Chimalapas forest, preparing land use planning maps at the community level. With this goal in mind, she designed a participatory methodology that incorporates the gender perspective and complements technical and farmer knowledge, linking both knowledge domains, which has been used to carry out similar studies. She has also elaborated didactic material and designed participative methodologies to both train professionals and technicians and to work with farmers.

At present she coordinates the project 'Conservation of Biodiversity and Sustainable Development in Three Priority regions' (a SEMARNAP-UNDP project funded by GEF). She is in charge of coordinating, supervising and monitoring the activities carried out at La Chinantla (Oaxaca), La Montaña (Guerrero) and Los Tuxtlas (Veracruz). In addition, she has been instrumental in the preparation of a proposal filed before GEF for an eight-year project in those regions.

Her particular interest to participate in LEAD is to be able to know and take advantage of experiences from other countries, to widen her view on environment issues, and to exchange knowledge, experiences, and points of view with professionals from other disciplines, sectors, and countries.
