Tomas RUZICKA is a program director of the Czech Environmental Partnership Foundation. He evaluates the environmental projects and provides financial and technical support to NGOs in the Czech Republic, he is also responsible for international projects. He has been active in a number of NGOs, and was a lecturer on landscape and biodiversity conservation at Charles University. Prior to the completion of his college degree, he created the organization Green Telephone, an environmental hotline that provides responses to citizen inquiries regarding environmental problems. Recently he is head of the Program Team at the Environmental Partnership in the Czech Republic responsible for coordinating all foudation's programs.

Tomas set up the Czech UNEP National Committee in 1999 and is a member of its governing board. He closely cooperates with WWF Danube-Carpathian Program in the Carpathian Ecoregion Initiative. He is a trainer of Natural Heritage Interpretation. In 2005, he was the main organiser of a national conference on sustainable development.

In 1992 and 1993, he studied natural resources and organizational management at the University of Michigan. He completed the environmental science program at Charles University in Prague in 1991.

In 2008 he received a Fulbright Fellowship and studied environmental interpretation and stewardship at the University of Vermont and Quebec-Labrador Foundation.
