LI Zhe (Jerry Li) is the Country Director of New Ventures China Program which was initiated by the World Resources Institute (WRI). Previously, he was the Chief Operation Officer (COO) of Asia Logistics Technologies (China) Limited and the General Manager of FedEx Logistics China, leading FedEx Corporation's Logistics and eCommerce China Team for more than three years. Prior to FedEx, he was a senior engineer and associate professor at the University of Petroleum, China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC), where he was responsible for conducting research and
teaching courses in environmental impact assessment,
resource development and planning, environmental systematic
engineering and sustainable energy development. He has
attended various national and international conferences,
including the International Symposium on Environmental
Impact Assessment in 1987 and the International Conference
on Environmental Sciences and Technology in 1995.
Li Zhe has published nine papers and his study 'A Research on Environment Carrying Capacities for Migration in Three Gorges Region' was awarded the National Key Research Program in 1992. He has a bachelor degree in resource
management (1987) and a master degree in human environment
