Now as Associate Professor at Foreign Languages Collge at Renmin Uni. of China, GUO XiaoHui teaches English to social science students. As a visiting research fellow, she received training in anthropology and sociology at the Cross-Cultural Center for Women's Studies at Oxford University in 1993. And in 2007 she graduated from Renmin Uni. of China with a Doctorate of Law, majoring in political science.
In 1990's she helped IFAW(International Fund for Animal Welfare)in China in programs such as bear farms reduction(such farms extract bile from living bears for medical use), endangered species conservation and anti-crulty campains. As a member of Friends of Nature the biggest environmental NGO in China, she is also active in education, writing and translation pertaining to environmental issues.
