Christine LUCYK is President of Environmental Directions, anenvironmental consulting firm, specilaizing in strategy and communications for a wide range of private and public sector clients, primarily in Canada. She has developed product stewardship and waste managment programs in several provinces. For the past year she has been working under contract with the Ongtario Ministry of the the Environment where she was responsible for the start up of Ontario Product steardship organization which is managed by the private sector organizations which contribute packaging or products which may end up in the waste stream. For several years, she was an account director with LBJ-FRB Communications, an advertising agency specializing in social marketing.
Christine continues to serve as an environmental expert on the University of Toronto's G8 Research Group and attended the Summits in Okinawa Japan and Genoa Italy, contributing to the G8RG webcasts.
Her professional background is in urban and regional analysis. She taught land resource economics at York University in Toronto and served on the Ontario Assessment Advisory Committee for 8 years.
She is involved in numerous environmental organizations and committees including the Recycling Council of Ontario and British Columbia, The Natural Step - Canada and the Resource Conservation - Manitoba. Christine is a member of the Board of Directors of LEAD Canada Inc, having seved as Treasurerfor two years (2001/2002)
