Abid Ullah Jan is the Chief Executive of Integrated Regional Development Programme (IRDP) since December 2002.

He also worked as Executive Director of Integrated Regional Support Programme (IRSP) Pakistan from November 2000 to December 2002.

He is responsible for the overall management of IRDP. He directly reports to the board of directors with regard to developing and executing different policies and relationships across sectors and organizations.

Mr. Jan is actively involved in developing and implementing projects such as health and sanitation, community information system, environmental management through community participation and capacity building for the communities for harnessing their potential to help them. Before joining IRSP, Abid Ullah Jaan worked with Sarhad Rural Support Programme (SRSP) in the field of human resource development as Chief HRD.

In addition, Mr Jan initiated a programme with IUCN that become the basis for greening of programme packages in all Rural Support Programmes. Mr Jan's background in environmental management enabled him to work closely with IUCN to develop a guide. The purpose of which was to get communities practically involved in the environmental planning process and enable the NGOs to tangibly assist them in their endeavors on the other. He has also worked on a social organization package of field workers to help them learn techniques to get communities involved in addressing their environmental issues. A chapter on this is included in the first handbook that Mr Jan developed for the social organizers.

Mr Jan has an educational background in environmental management.
