Amina AKIDA is a forest resources management specialist and trained as a holistic interdisciplinary forester. She is extensively being involved in planning of forestry activities, and management of forestry and beekeeping information systems at the Forestry and Beekeeping Division. She exhibits knowledge, skills and commitments in planning, implementation, coordination and monitoring and evaluation experiences in issues of involving local communities in the conservation and management of forest resources for sustainable environment and development.

Amina has undergone various training that enhances her capacity in that field. Her employment in forestry dates back since 1986, where she was actively working with local communities, especially mobilizing women, schools and youths in villages to participate in forestry activities.

Since 1997 to date Amina has been for full time involved in planning and in management of forestry and beekeeping information systems.

Amina has obtained her forestry and environment education from Tanzania and Norway. She has technical training (diploma), BSc. and MSc. degrees in forestry and natural resources management.
