Mr. Abro is a researcher. He is currently working on Public Policy Ph.D. dissertation at the University of Arkansas, USA. Prior Ph.D. program, he earned master degree in Rural, Regional Development Planning from Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand. He also has several local and foreign short course training/certificates to his credit.

Mr. Abro has over ten years of socio-economic research experience and has good understanding of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, and has excellent analytical, writing and oral presentation skills. He has expertise in monitoring and evaluation of water and sanitation, irrigation, agriculture, rural development, natural resources, and environmental projects. During his previous development work assignments, he has remained actively involved in planning and managing the community participation activities, project reporting and evaluation to contribute to optimization of sustainability and effectiveness of development projects.

His areas of professional and intellectual interests are climate change, mitigating disasters and conflicts, water policy, food security and agriculture, natural resources management, economic development, and poverty alleviation. He is also associated with several research, training, advocacy and policy institutions in Pakistan and abroad.
