Professor Anthony Adia Malomo Imevbore attended the University College, Ibadan, Nigeria, where he obtained the B.Sc. degree of the University of London in 1960, as well as the Doctorate degree of the University of London in 1964.

Professor Imevbore has been a distinguished Nigerian Scientist in the area of Ecology and Environment. He has served as the Director of the Institute of Ecology of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria, and has for long been a Consultant to the Federal Environmental Protection Agency (FEPA), Nigeria; the United Nations Environmental Programme (UNEP) and the World Bank on Environmental matters. He was a member of the Governing Council of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria from 1973-1977 and a member of the Auchi Polytechnic Board of Governors, Nigeria, from 1976-1980.
