Aliyu YAHAYA-GUSAU is a deputy director and head of the budget unit at the Federal Environmental Protection Agency. In past positions, he was the head of the industrial department of Sokoto State Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism and also head of the planning, research and statistics department of the Natural Resources Conservation Council (NARESCON). He represented NARESCON on the Nigeria/Niger joint commission and has served on the boards of several companies owned by Sokoto State Government. He is interested in environmental policy development and environmental economics and auditing. His bachelor's degree in economics is from Ahmadu Bello University and his master's degree in money and finance is from the University of Jos.
