Mr. Omojola earned his master's and bachelor's degrees in geography at the University of Lagos and the University of Ibadan, respectively. He also received a diploma in Geographical Information Systems (GIS) from Sir Sandford Fleming College in Ontario, Canada. He is a lecturer in geography and planning at the University of Lagos and a member of the Nigerian Geographical Society and the American Society for Photo geometry and Remote Sensing. Over a dozen of his written works have been published, including 'Environmental Degradation Assessment in the Sokoto-Rima River Basin Using Remote Sensing and GIS Techniques' in June 1993 and 'Remote Sensing and GIS Techniques for Landuse and Land cover Mapping Change Detection in a Nigerian Semi-Arid Environment' in 1992. Mr. Omojola would like to apply the techniques of remote sensing and GIS to the assessment and dissemination of environmental information in order to improve the quality of life on a global scale.
