Dr. Oboh is the Chief Scientific Officer and Head of Investment Promotion and Consulting with the Raw Materials Research and Development Council where he is currently setting up soda ash and kaolin catalytic models in factories. Previously, he was the Principal Research Officer with the Nigerian Institute for Palm Oil Research. Dr. Oboh earned his doctoral and master's degrees in food technology at the University of Ibadan in Nigeria. He received additional post-doctoral training at NEWI Degside in Cludy, Wales. He is a member of the American Oil Chemist Society (AOCS) and attended the International Conference on Palms and Palm Products in Benin City, Nigeria in 1989. His published materials include 'The Use of Nigerian Clays in Vegetable Oil Refining'. He is concerned with environmental preservation and sustainable economic development.
