Antonio Rico Lomelí is the General Director of Ecology at the Municipality of Naucalpan in the State of Mexico. Before joining his public job in 2003 he was a professor at the University of the Caribbean and Cancun and before that was a local congressman by National Action Party in Quintana Roo State.
His interest and work experience is about the Public Administration in Environmental aspects, sustainability and development. He recently obtained the second place in the National Prize of Public Administration INAP 2003 by his research about the Sustainable Management of Common Pool Resources.
He gained a Masters degree in Applied Political Studies sponsored by the Spanish Government and also was enrolled in the doctorate program of Government and Public Administration at the Complutense University in Madrid. Recently was involved in environmental affairs courses by two academic programs in Barcelona University (Spain) and Lunds University (Sweden).
