Ana Belkis Martínez Torres was born in the province Villa Clara. Cuba. She was graduated in the year 1990 as Geologist engineer in the University “Hermanos Saiz Montes de Oca†in Pinar del RÃo, Cuba.
Their first labor activity carried out it in the Mining Geologist Company´s of the Center, Province of Villa Clara, as Hydro geologist engineer up to 1992. Starting from that date it began to labor in the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment, Pinar del Rio, Cuba, acting as Environmental Specialist. During the stage their preparation continued in the Environmental topic. In the year 1992 were graduate of Máster in Geology and Environment, it was also selected by the UNESCO to participate in a course shop it has more than enough recovery of mining areas you degrade in the University of Countrysides, Brazil and in the University of Costa Rica. It has participated in numerous events, workshops, nationals and international relationed with the topic. In the year 2004 begin their preparation in the School of Mexico, until the year 2006, graduating as Leader in the Environmental Activity. Once obtained this recognition was promoted to occupy positions, acting as Directress in the Environmental Activity in the province Pinar del Rio, Cuba. Starting from that date it began their academic Doctorate, which is developing. It coordinates numerous environment Graduates. Inside their functions as Directress: It coordinates indicators and environmental work objectives, such as: Environmental contamination ( liquids, solids and gassy wastes), Protected Areas, Environmental Education, Studies of Danger, Vulnerability and Risk before the occurrence of Events Hydrometeorology and their incidence in the Climatic Change, Basins Hydrographical , Chemical Products and Waste dangers, Process of Evaluation of Environmental Impact, Application of Ordinances Contravencionales, State Environmental Inspections, Activity of Biological Security, Desertificación and drought, among others.
