Dr. Ye Weizuo was graduated from the Geophysics Department of Peking University in 1968, and received a master's degree and doctorate in the 80s from the Graduate School of the University of Science and Technology in China and National Center for atmospheric Research (NCAR) in the U.S. respectively. Dr. Ye has wide interests, and as such he gradually diverted his career from 'hard science' to 'soft science'. In 1991 and 92' he worked with IGBP (International Geosphere and Biosphere Program) in Stockholm, and, after that, he had two years of working experience at UNDP Beijing Office as senior advisor for sustainable development. Ye Weizuo has been affiliated to CAS (Chinese Academy of Sciences) for some 20 years and now he is devoting much time and energy to LEAD's undertaking as LEAD-China academic coordinator.
