YAO Zhuyun is a manager for regulatory affairs and Scientific Outreach for Asia Pacific of Monsanto Company. She is responsible for regulatory affairs and scientific outreach programs related to agricultural biotechnology products in Asia Pacific region. She also works with government affairs and public affairs teams to build relationships with the government and to disseminate information on biotechnology to the public. She is interested in the role of government in introducing new technologies and in the influence that academic advisors may have on policymakers. She also is interested in organizing joint efforts in environmental protection through agriculture, biotechnology, environmental science and emerging information technologies. Yao Zhuyun has a Ph.D. from China Agricultural University (1997), and master's and bachelor's degrees from Shanxi University. Her studies focused on biotechnology, agriculture and environmental protection.
